Joanna Young is a psychologist and psychotherapist with a practice based in St Kilda Road, Melbourne

With additional qualifications in psychotherapy, Joanna provides both shorter-term focussed psychological counselling, equipping you with tools to adapt and modify unhelpful thinking and behaviours, and longer term psychotherapy exploring your unique experiences and circumstances, developmental background and generational patterns of behaviours, expectations and beliefs that inform and impact your daily functioning and interpersonal relationships.

Joanna established her full time private practice in 2009, after many years experience in private counselling services and the community health sector. 

Joanna works with adults  from eighteen years of age.  She provides treatment for a broad range of problems, including emotional problems, interpersonal  and relationship problems, trauma, loss or grief, anxiety and coping problems, behavioural and addiction problems, self esteem and sense of self. She  brings to her practice empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental, respectful, collaborative approach.
