- There is a serious risk to you or another person. If possible, this would first be discussed with you, and a plan developed which may include the involvement of other people.
- Your records are subpoenaed by a court; or disclosure is otherwise required by law.
- Information is requested by third party referrers such as Workcover or TAC; and to comply with reporting requirements for clients referred under Medicare and ATAPS.

Professional Development
To maintain and develop her professional competence, Joanna undertakes a range of professional development activities exceeding the requirements for annual AHPRA registration and APS membership. Joanna attends seminars, workshops and conferences, reads current professional journals and books, and undertakes regular supervision with colleagues in which specific cases or situations may be discussed. These discussions are bound by confidentiality as described above, and clients’ anonymity is preserved.
Complaints
As an AHPRA/ Psychology Board of Australia registered psychologist, and full member of the Australian Psychological Society, Joanna complies with strict professional and ethical guidelines. Both AHPRA and the APS have accountability and disciplinary procedures for dealing with malpractice, incompetence and unethical behaviour.
If you are dissatisfied and feel Joanna has breached professional or ethical standards, you are encouraged to discuss this with Joanna in the first instance. Counselling is a collaborative process, and by voicing concerns they can be addressed.
